A MUM in Australia has been accused of trying to kill her critically ill baby boy by pouring bleach down his feeding tubes. Brooke Evelyn Lucas, 26, was arrested yesterday and charged following the incident, police in Perth said.

Police say a mother attempted to poison her 13-month-old son just five days after he was discharged from the Perth Children's hospital.

Police allege Perth woman Brooke Evelyn Lucas, 26, tried to feed her son William the cleaning fluid on December 29. The one-year-old has a rare condition and must eat and breathe through a tube.
